I'm having a fun event in
Berwick, Maine on Sunday, July 5. The format will be 5 Novice, 5 Expert, and 5
more sections with splits for all levels. The fee will be strictly donation: $5
t0 $20 would be nice. All cash will go directly to the landowner, who needs the
moolah (less my expenses- about $50.). Since we haven't done anything for her
recently and ride there often, a little 'Thanks' in the form of cash, is long
overdue. Novice line will be easy enough for all Novice riders and Expert line
will be hard enough for the top riders. Loop will be short and easy.
I will be there on Saturday, July 4, if anyone can't make it on Sunday and wants
to ride and/or help with set-up.
I will be giving free lessons to anyone who would like the benefit of my
experience.
I plan to have burgers and hotdogs available.
Bring something to grill if you like.
We need hole punches, unless I can find the R&RTC ones (someone want to call
Aunt Judy about that?)
To keep expenses low, there will be no trophies. You can keep score to compare
your riding to others that keep score, or just ride for plain old FUN! That's
what we usually do anyhow.
Let me know if you can make it.
Have fun, stuff your face and learn something new for the next event!
No AMA or club membership required.
No loud bikes!
No knobby tires.
Helmets required.
TIME: 11:00 am to 4:00 pm both days.
Location: 63 Durant Road, Berwick, Maine. I'll try to get some "NETRA" arrows up
from Downtown Berwick to the field, but you're on your own to there.
From SOUTH: Take I-95 to Spaulding Turnpike/Route16 in Portsmouth, NH (LEFT
EXIT), then take exit 9- Route 9 east through Somersworth and into Berwick. Stay
on Route 9 for a couple miles, turn LEFT on Old Sanford Road, go about a mile
and a half and turn LEFT on Diamond Hill Road, go up the hill, a little over a
half mile, watch for the orange Mustang mailbox, and then turn LEFT onto Durant
Road. Go to end of pavement, straight ahead on gravel and turn left into field.
from NORTH: Take I-95 to Wells, ME exit 19. Turn right onto Route 109 North,
NEXT LEFT onto Route 9 West. Go to North Berwick. At Stoplight, Route 9 Joins
Route 4.. turn LEFT onto 4 and 9. Go about a half mile and turn right onto Maple
Street. Follow to end and turn LEFT on Old Sanford Road. About a half mile turn
right on Diamond hill Road, go up the hill, a little over a half mile, watch for
the orange Mustang mailbox, and then turn LEFT onto Durant Road. Go to end of
pavement, straight ahead on gravel and turn left into field.
(This is private land, please don't just show up on any 'ol day without an
invite. I ride there almost every weekend that I'm not on the road, so feel free
to call if you need a place to ride sometime.)
Thanks,
Jareth
